Claire Marshall
Chief Internal Audit Officer
Claire became abrdn’s Chief Internal Audit Officer in 2022 and joined the Executive Leadership Team in July 2024. She has been at the firm for over 20 years, having previously led on Distribution Governance and Risk as well as holding senior governance roles in the Product and Client teams.
Claire reports directly to the Chair of the Group Audit Committee, with a secondary reporting line to the CEO, and has experience across a variety of assurance related forums. Within abrdn, Claire has been a member of the Investment Risk Committee and Operational Risk Committee, together with chairing the Ethical Advisory Group. Claire was also previously a member of the Investment Association Investments Funds Committee and an Executive Director of Aberdeen Standard Fund Managers Limited.
Prior to joining the company in 2002, Claire spent several years working with private clients at Newton Investment Management. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Warwick and is IMC and IIMR Qualified.
