What you’ll need to do next

Once you’ve submitted a bereavement notification, you’ll need to: 

  1. Complete this Bereavement Requirement Form as soon as possible.
  2. Send us the settlement documents – you can post these to us or upload the documents directly to the Platform document library and let us know by emailing Platforms_deceasedaccounts@abrdn.com. Please note that we cannot accept email copies of settlement documents. 

We aim to begin processing bereavement notifications within 10 working days. If you don’t hear from us within 10 working days, please email Platforms_deceasedaccounts@abrdn.com or phone 0345 279 1001.
