You can have up to four bank accounts on the platform at any one time.
Adding bank accounts on new business
Complete the new business process as normal, and when you capture the details of any payments in you can choose the payment method as Direct Debit. You can choose from an existing bank account on file or select add a new bank account.
Enter the required information including Account Name, Account Number and Sort Code. Save the bank account for it to be added.
You can also confirm if the account should be used for Direct Debit’s or nominate the account for withdrawals.
If using for Direct Debit, an online Direct Debit can be set up if the client is present at the point bank details are entered. If the client is not present, you can still enter the bank details, but you must obtain a signed Direct Debit from the client and send this to us. In that case, we will not start making Direct Debit collections until we have received the signed form.
Direct Debit payments and withdrawals will not be permitted until you verify the account belongs to your client. For those that pass our new online verification, no further action will be required.
If however, the client fails the online verification check or if it’s for a Third Party, Employer or Trust Account, you need to complete the add/verify bank accounts details form. Details on how to complete can be found below.
Adding Bank Details for existing clients
Where you are not making a payment into the account, you can add bank details by completing the add/verify bank account form and returning this to us. Details on how to complete can be found below.
